Advanced Clinical Research Institute (ACRI) is an independent research organization specializing in dermatology located in Tampa, Florida, 10 minutes away from the airport. It serves as the clinical research division for the Caban Skin Institute. ACRI has extensive experience in clinical trials of dermatological topical, oral, monoclonal drugs for all dermatological conditions such as acne, rosacea, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, and much more. Our goal is to produce industry-leading treatments for dermatological conditions. ACRI conducts clinical research studies from phase II to phase IV.

Principal Investigator for ACRI

Meet Dr. Caban

Dr. Francis Caban is the Principal Investigator for ACRI. Dr. Caban has participated in clinical trials since 2015. He leads our clinical research studies from phase II to Phase IV. Dr. Caban’s passion for medical dermatology inspires him to spend hundreds of hours per year learning about the latest research in skin health.

Before practicing dermatology and becoming the Principal Investigator for ACRI, he graduated from the university in Puerto Rico’s School of Medicine and then moved to Maryland where he completed his post-graduate residency training at Mount Sinai Hospital of Baltimore . He currently serves both Spanish and English-speaking patients all over Florida and is the Principal Investigator for ACRI. Dr. Caban is also a double board-certified dermatologist.

Our mission is to partner with pharmaceutical companies who share our focus to deliver new treatments for dermatological conditions and in studying their efficacy. We hope to work with individuals who are interested in participating in our clinical trials and can drive dermatological research forward.
